I recently had the opportunity to try out Erno Laszlo’s Hydro Heroes Set. A little background on the Erno Laszlo line: This line dates back to 1927, designed to “empower the bold”. Dr. Lazslo modern beauty rituals have been adored by some of the most famous faces in Hollywood and beyond. Erno Laszlo created a formula for Marilyn Monroe to heal her scar, in addition to working with stars like Audrey Hepburn, Greta Garbo and Jackie Onassis. He also developed a formula for Princess Stephanie of Hungary to heal her acute acne.
Now friends I am very faithful to my daily skincare regimen but I decided to take a chance to try out this line. I was gifted three products - Hydra Therapy Foaming Cleanse, Hydra Therapy Boost Serum and the Hydra Therapy Sleep Mask. I rated this set of products from 1-3 with 1 being my favorite item of the bunch.
1. Hydra Therapy Foaming Cleanser. Okay this is my favorite of the bundle! This product serves as a makeup remover and cleanser all in one. If I can describe this cleanser in one word I will say “luxury”. My skin feels moisturized after use. However one feature I wasn’t to fond of was the fact that my eyes did burn from getting some in it. I will definitely recommend taking your eye makeup off the usually way and then following up with this cleanser for the remainder of your face.
2. Hydra Therapy Sleep Mask. This overnight mask can definitely join my medicine cabinet amongst my other beauty products. It’s weightless, jelly texture leaves your skin feeling hydrated in the morning. I recommend using this mask 2-3 times a week depending on the dryness of your skin.
3. Hydra Therapy Boost Serum. I rated this serum my least favorite because I am not a big fan of serums for the simple fact they to tend to feel a little greasy. When initially applying this serum it felt lightweight and glided on smoothly, which I loved. A con for me was that it didn’t fully absorb into my skin. When touching my face after applying the serum it felt sticky. This is me being super picky because I cannot stand to feel anything on my face. However, the serum did its job; my skin received a boost of energy after use.
Overall I give this line an 8/10. I could see myself purchasing my top two items in the future.
